“I study my way”. A living room with many functions and different ongoing activities.

With the intent to study art and culture, 23-year-old Amy decided to spend a year in Qatar as an exchange student from the US. As she majors in painting and printmaking, she also likes to divide into art history and study about various traditional artworks.

This living room has been designed to and laid out to enable Amy to unleash her creativity and make use of every area in a creative way. This flexible living space also has interiors in loud colors, giving character to her walls. With the space having meant to be of a Scandinavian modern design, bright colors and patterns have been added. The light wooden door and window frames adds to the Nordic vibe.

A generous storage unit caters for all the different storage needs, from decoration to study material. It’s about being creative and flexible with the space you have. A big space on the wall has been dedicated to exhibit Amy’s works of art. Shelves fixed way above to store art and craft items that are occasionally needed. Enough space on the couch and floor to have a few friends over, a reading corner to relax with a good book and a sweet little corner to keep and grow her indoor plants.
