IMAGINE
design & implementation by Theekshi
The bedroom was designed around the JATTELIK collection, IKEA’s dinosaur series, to keep the little one’s imaginations alive and learn through play.
Qatari siblings, Jury 7 years old and Adil 5 years old. Jury enjoys working on her arts and crafts, dressing up and playing with her little brother. She would often make costumes, masks for her brother to play with and add to his dinosaur collection.

Adil, who is in kindergarten, has a huge imagination and is often found playing with his toy dinosaurs. He enjoys playing pretend with Jury. His favorite game is when they go on adventurous expeditions to the land of lost dinosaurs and camp in their bedroom.

The colors chosen for this room is derived from the JATTELIK collection. Two distinct colors were also used to separate the two spaces. With the idea of representing ‘night and day’, a dark blue shade of paint was used for the toddler’s side of the room and a light green for the little girl. Each side is designed to suit their needs and height.
Sharing a bedroom with a sibling can be tricky. The layout of this room is designed in such a way that the two siblings can personalize and enjoy their own spaces while enjoy a shared space when they want to play together. They each have their own sleeping, studying and wardrobe area.
