When you live in an apartment in one of Qatar’s high-rise buildings, its best have one space contain a few other functions. Here’s a living room that shares its space with a dining area and a workspace. The living room is for a family of three. A young couple in their thirties with their 10-year-old boy from Lebanon.
Leaning heavily on a modern style, the room consists of dark shades of grey paint and dark wood panels fixed onto the wall.

These tones were chosen to stay consistent with the furniture chosen and a shades of brown, mustard yellow an orange were chosen as accent colors for fabric with a few dark blue accessories. Grey tiles with a concrete effect were fixed onto the floor to add to the consistency. During the implementation of the project, the collection HÖSTKVÄLL which means “autumn evening” in Swedish, was added to the room.

The space allows the family to carry out various activities within one space. The main area being the living room with cabinets mounted on the wall for TV storage. Also, storage by the dining table allows plates, cutleries and other dinnerware to be kept. A bookcase at the corner with some of the child’s toys and books for when the parents would sit with him at the dining table to do his homework. A small balcony solution has also been provided with a simple bench and a few plants to grow in an urban environment.
